WICKER PARK (WEST TOWN)

Once a working-class Polish neighborhood, then a working-class Hispanic neighborhood, this up-and-coming area is loosely bordered by Western, Division, Armitage, and Ashland. Increasingly trendy Wicker Park offers a variety of restaurants and shops from the quaint to the eclectic and artistic to the upscale. It has convenient access to downtown and the suburbs via the Kennedy Expressway and the blue “L” line.
